Service includes consulting as well as imaging and illumination design. Feel free to check some applications I was involved in the course of time. I hope to present references related to activities under the roof of Illuminatio Solutions pretty soon.

Ikigai

I expect my company to be my Ikigai : Doing what I am good at, what I love, what provides customer benefits and gets paid. First wrap-up after 6 months I started with some fear that there would not be enough work out there. But my network delivered, I am extremely grateful for interesting jobs in a wide variety of fields such as • lens design • stray light analysis • lithography • biomedical optics • automotive front lighting • stage lighting • stadium lighting • light measurement Some variations remain: you never exactly know what you will do next month. Jobs are lost and suddenly won, but in the end, there will always be some work. And the next book is waiting. And DGaO and my Applied Optics editor job need some time. Life and optics remain fascinating.

There‘s a letter „n“ missing !

Thanks to my friend Ronian for pointing this out. But : No. Nothing is missing. „Illuminatio“ is Latin and means „Enlightenment“, and to some grade also „Glory“ and „Illumination“. Enlightenment, when some customer wishes („the beam should be nice and bright“) were successfully translated to the language of optics. Enlightenment when a design concept was found. Enlightenment when a first prototype sees first light and together we can explain the observations.
